    Arrival, and the lowest point on land

    Met at Queen Alia International and driven down to the Dead Sea, nearly 400 metres below sea level, where the water carries you whether you want it to or not. Back to Amman for the night.

    South to Wadi Rum

    An early start for the drive into southern Jordan and an afternoon touring the desert: red sand, sandstone towers and open valleys. The night is at a camp out in it.

  3. Day 3

    A full day in Petra

    In through the Siq, the narrow canyon that keeps the city hidden until the last moment, then the Treasury, the Royal Tombs, the street of facades and as much of the Nabatean city as the day allows.

    Karak, the Jordan Valley and Mount Nebo

    North through the Crusader fortress at Karak, then Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the Baptism Site, and Mount Nebo for the view across the valley before returning to Amman.

    Amman, Jerash and home

    The capital in the morning, then Jerash: colonnaded streets, theatres and temples, among the best preserved Roman cities anywhere. To the airport for the evening flight.

How does booking actually work?
