    Arrival and the Nile by night

    Met at Cairo International, then check in and rest. In the evening, the Nile Crystal dinner cruise: open buffet, belly dancing and a folklore show, with the city lit along the banks.

    Pyramids, Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum

    The Great Pyramids and the Sphinx first thing, a papyrus institute and a perfume house in between, then the Grand Egyptian Museum for the rest of the day.

    Cairo at your own pace

    A free day: rest, shop, eat, or take the optional day trip to Alexandria for the Mediterranean side of Egypt.

    Citadel, Coptic Cairo and the bazaar

    The Citadel of Saladin above the city, then Coptic Cairo for the Hanging Church and St George's Monastery, finishing in the lanes of Khan el-Khalili.

How does booking actually work?

Every package here is a starting point rather than a fixed product. Most trips we run end up differing from the page in at least one leg.

Is this suitable for older travellers or young children?
